Though multi-disciplinary, Calum-Louis Adams works primarily within conceptual art, with a tendency to test the limits of drawing and the material through performance. By tearing, biting, dragging and even kissing the canvas he produces a type of mark making which is delicate and fragile but also tactile and confessional. He uses certain materials to create body extensions for when he creates these ‘performative drawings’, often using raw and hand spun wools and charcoal.
